Koine Greek

Ancient Paths’ Greek elective will deepen a student’s understanding of ancient languages beyond what we offer in our core curriculum. A rich study of Koine Greek enables students to become familiar with the Greek New Testament, The Septuagint, and a large canon of Greek classics. In this course students will begin elementary Greek studies. Alphabet, pronunciation, regular and irregular verbs, nouns, all noun cases, sentence construction, articles, adjectives, prepositions, are all introduced, as well as, first and second declensions. Students will learn by translating verses from the Greek New Testament to English.

This course is available to 4th-6th grade students, as well as students in our upper school track. Families wanting to enroll their child in the Greek elective should complete the form linked below. After filling out the enrollment form, they will receive an invoice for the elective. Payment for an elective course is due before the beginning of the school year.

Applied Mathematics

In the Ancient Paths’ Applied Mathematics elective, students will have the opportunity to study under elite engineers currently working in the applied mathematics fields. They will be challenged to apply the mathematical arts beyond what they are doing in our typical classroom and work as a team through hands-on projects utilizing simple machines, robotics, programming, as well as, analog and digital sensors.
