School Information

Tuition
We will not only offer the best education in Columbus, but will also aim to be the most affordable in order that all who desire a deeply Christian and distinctly Classical education for their children can afford to do so. To that end, tuition for Ancient Paths Academy will be $3,000 per year for each student kindergarten through sixth grade. Our pre-kindergarten tuition is $2,000 per year.

Accreditation
Ancient Paths Academy is a full-member school in the Association of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS).

Student Assessment
As the goal of Ancient Paths Academy is mastery of content and maturity of faith and life, all students will be assessed upon admission and placed at the appropriate grade level. This is done to ensure that each student is positioned to learn, grow, and develop with excellence throughout the entirety of the educational career.

Pre-Kindergarten Classroom
Ancient Paths Pre-Kindergarten classroom is designed to introduce children to the culture of our school and begin training them in distinctly Christian and classical content, so that they may flourish in a typical classroom environment. We will begin discipleship in the classroom through the study of God’s word and Christian virtues. The pre-kindergarten classroom will incorporate necessary fine and gross motor skill training. Instruction will also emphasize the development of necessary phonemic awareness and quantitative reasoning. Our pre-kindergarten class meets Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday during typical school hours starting in the 2024-2025 school year.

Why Bible?

APCCA believes that the “fear of the LORD is the beginning of all wisdom" (Proverbs 1:7). Since our God reveals Himself through His Word, we believe it is imperative to know His Word in order to know Him. To that end, our students memorize large and important passages from the Bible. Likewise, APCCA believes it is important to summarize Scriptural teaching on important topics, drawing together the most important teachings in succinct and clear statements.

APCCA uses the New King James Bible in all Bible classes. APCCA uses the Westminster Shorter Catechism for students to memorize.

Why Latin?

For centuries, Latin was an integral part of any good academic training. However, like many traditional elements of good education lost in the name of "modern" or "progressive" education, the advantages of Latin have been neglected and forgotten over the past few generations.

Latin is considered necessary to a fundamental understanding of grammar construction, the history and writings of Western Civilization, and the understanding of Romance languages. APCCA teaches Latin for three primary reasons: It’s historically rooted. It’s helpful in learning the mechanics of grammar. And, it requires hard work that develops young minds.
